the 2004  Jiri-san  Namak-je
[Ceremony for the Southern Peak] -- Page 2
The ceremony ends with the burning of the written
invocation to the Mountain-spirit, and then the officiants
line up on the shrine steps for an official portrait.
Everyone gathers around afterwards to share bites &
sips of the food & wine that was offered to the Jiri
San-shin.  It's a convivial social time, lasting for about
30 minutes after the ritual.
These are the old steps to the original, larger,
18th-century Joseon Dynasty shrine -- repaired
with cement but now abandoned to history.
